August 2019, we decided to just have some fun at the 48 Hour Film Project Orlando and instead of going for fancy, we decided to be a little bit audacious and wrote, cast, shot, edited and submitted TWO 7 MINUTE SHORT FILMS IN 48 HOURS.
Both films required a genre of "Romance" along with a key character of Eli or Ella, an auctioneer, a prop of nail clippers, and the line of dialogue "Did you hear what he said?" The rest was up to us!
The first script was written Friday night, and shot Saturday until about 7:30 pm. We then wrote the second film on the spot, with a ton of great directed improv by our awesome cast! We started filming right away and shot until about 2:30 am, and with Spaceship and Koura each editing away, the 2 films were submitted on time!
Because, why not?!
Apparently, that was record-breaking history for the Orlando 48 Hour Film Project, and had never been done before. So there is that.
